Shirley was born and raised
in Minnesota, a true "Farmer's Daughter" and came
to California in the early 60's where she sang in a Country
Western band called "Tommy
Strange and the Features". They entertained all along
Route 66, and at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, sharing the
stage with Buck Owens.
After
she gave birth to her daughter Lisa, she chose to "get
off the road" and went to work in Corporate America, vowing
never to give up her passion for performing.
Shirley found her true passion while working
a job in San Diego for ALTRUSA playing a Fairy Godmother, reading
and interacting with children, which truly feeds her Spirit.
Being a "Fairy Grandma" allows
her to pursue both her passions, which is working with children
and performing, for which she is very grateful.
Shirley is currently a working actor in Los
Angeles, where she lives with her husband Eddie, and their
two Shih Tzu's, Thelma and Louise, and two rescued cats, Serenity
and Bubba. And yes, Shirley is a real life Grandma too!
